It’s just LESS THAN 2 MINUTES long and sure, you can watch it.

It’s just small fry.

I’ve nothing to comments on it and obviously I will not do any episodic review for it since it’s just LESS THAN 2 MINUTES animation.

Synopsis

Ten years ago Fujiwara noticed he had a power to see multicolored auras surrounding people’s bodies. Ever since then he’s been having a weird dream about a war with cats. One day he meets a mysterious girl, that, after being picked on by crows and fallen from a tree, goes to search for her lost hat. Later that day, Fujiwara finds himself in a daydream, being attacked by the same cats he fights at night.

Personal Impression

Nice start but slowly loose impact in the end? I think this anime has a great start where John Doe(Yumeji’s muma), disturbed Yumeji’s dream. One day, a cliche meeting where a girl suddenly fell down on top of the man character applied to Yumeji and Merry first meeting…

Cliche meeting (Yumeji meets Merry)

In a broad day light, John doe comes to surface and activates the phenomena called “daydream”(named by Yumeji) and wishing for Yumeji to surrender his body but he been save by Merry who happen to be around there while she is searching for her hat. She win the fights and John doe falling back afterwards.

Ability

Yumeji's ability to see dream color pattern

Yumeji has an unique special ability where he can see humans dream color pattern. It is very convenient to detect “muma” who have overtaken human’s body. Yumeji gives a nickname to Merry called Yumekui Merry because of her ability to obliterate the enemy with her attack and sending the enemy back to dream world. Both of them have some quite a handful technique, and a pretty strong combination too. Well they are unbeatable until Mistletine appeared.

John Doe

John Doe is a muma that wanted Yumeji becomes his vessels. He is somehow looks very compose and kinda cool too. After he is defeated by Merry, he continued to help Yumeji from time to time for the sake of his vessel. He looks kinda strong and doesn’t show any weakness and somehow, he is like some big shot(a high class muma).

The enemy

Mistletine

She is one of the most fearsome dream demon or muma that always find her prey to be killed. She is an awesome enemy that have plants technique. She’s pretty strong that she can even beat both Merry and Engi Threepiece in an instant. Even in the past, the sole survivor that tells the story about Mistletine pictured that she can even beat a whole army of muma. She’s just too strong and wicked as well…

Teacher Iijima

The man who happens to be the vessel of Mistletine is none other than the wicked, sicko teacher Iijima. I’m totally hate this guy, just look at his face. He has the same personality as Mistletine that totally makes somebody feels unease with to look at them.

Facts?

I guess in the daydream, people will get injured too...

Yumeji gets injured in the daydream after Engi slashed him. This happen when Merry is having a fight with Engi. Yumeji tried to protect Merry from being slashed by Engi and with no option left, he stood up and let him to be slahed instead of Merry. This injury only appear in the daydream or dream. Because of this fatal wound, it affects Yumeji mental and body too…

Merry hidden ability/ ultimate ability

My favorite episode is when Merry used her hidden ability. This happen when Yumeji is being slashed by Engi in order to protect her. Merry summon the key of destruction? I’m not sure whats the name of it, but it is a pretty cool and fearsome ability. A formidable opponent like Engi also couldn’t fight this monstrous ability. This ability can obliterate anything without for her to move around and touch anything. She wish it, everything will be destroyed. God like skill, cool~

The Boss that wish to be defeated

Pharos Hercules

He is one of the enmy that doesn’t surface much, but he is the main antagonis. Working only behind the scene, he only send his underlings to do his job. He has a fearsome ability. He destroyed other muma and also that place without breaking a sweat. This kind of enemy is a badass enemy that could’t be taken lightly.

Merry’s past

Merry

Merry’s past still unrevealed and unknown. I’m still not cleared about it. It happens to be a sad past that Merry forget about it that shown in the last episode. So what about the scene where Yumeji playing with Merry when they are still kids in the opening theme? I’m not sure…

Mistletine died?

The final fight is the between Merry and the others fighting with Mistletine round 2. This time they win. Although there are sacrifice has been made(Lestion and Kawanami), they win in the end. Engi stole the final strike and killed Mistletine in the end after a nice combo from both Merry and Engi. I think the one who should finish this is Merry because she is the main character!!!

The things I dislike in Yumekui Merry

I don’t like the way it ends this series. It suppose to be more epic battle. Merry suppose to gives the finishing blow and not Engi. At the edge of final episode, there are more talking and least in fighting. Long lame talking and less fight is boring…Incomplete storyline, where Hercules not yet been defeated and Merry’s past remains unrevealed. Perhaps, there’s gonna be second season of this series. One more thing, I dislike teacher Iijima…

I don’t know what kind of story this anime will bring and I don’t even have any idea. The story in episode 1 were jumping from each other to one another. There’s no real storyline yet. But at almost the end of the episode 1, I some what have some clue that the story will not taken in our human world but in other dimension of other world.

Harem, Wincest and What Else?

The beginning of the story display some harem style which what we guys like. Some oppai skinship and a cousins who also want to be in relationship with you and what else do you want?

Pantsu Shot Everywhere

There are pantsu shot almost everywhere but with that nasty “keep out” cencorship is just annoying. There’s one scene where a little young boy kiddos try to upskirt a maid in Alexander restaurant. He is just like 6 years old! Oh my!

When he found out that the maid was actually wearing a pantsu, disappointment make him strip off the pantsu from her. But too bad there’s nothing we can see…

Loli Fan Service

Victorique in Gossick is super kawaii… but not daring enough. In this episode 1 of Oretahi Ni Tsubasa Wa Nai there was one little kawai loli which dressed well. I’ll show her in the screenshot area. I promise!

A King To Be… of a Kingdom From The Other Side of The Sky?

However I only feel the storyline is visible at almost the end of this episode. But I may be proven wrong. This anime might be like Nichijou. But who knows?
