Bungaku Shojo | Literature Girl

Litrature is one of my favourite subject during my high school.

It’s not that because I like literature so much but because the atmosphere of the class suddenly change into something that is very suitable for lazyness and sleepiness.

It’s a very relaxing class.

That is why I like it.

But in this anime Literature Girl or Bungaku Shojo, it’s about one girl who like all stories in the world and actually take them as food.

This girl is called Touko Amano. (Touko ne san)

Fateful Encounter Between Touko and Inoue

The Story

This anime is about a girl who likes to eat stories, she is Touko.

She then found a script written by pen name Inoue Miu which actually Inoue Knonoha, one of her junior.

Actually Inoue decide to stop writing but forced by Touko to join the Literature club and write her a “snack” everyday.

She eats stories remember?

Then the storyline then brought us back in Inoue memory of what happen until he decide to stop writing anymore.

Touko then help to resolve all the problem between Inoue and his past memory and Inoue now decide to write a novel.

The story ends up with Touko leaving to enter a university while Inoue entering second year high school.

Characters

Touko Amano

She is the main character and my favourite character as well.

She really eat the book pages of the stories she eat and she did not eat ordinary food like we eat.

She is Inoue Knonoha sempai.

She like Inoue also but she decide to leave him and enter the university while Inoue promise to write her a novel.

Voiced by Kana Hanazawa which is also voicing Kanade Tachibana in Angel Beats!

Kanade is one of my most favourite character also and no wonder I have some “close feeling” with Touko when watching the anime.

Before I make this post, I did not even know Touko was voiced by Kana chan.

Inoue Konoha

The writers “Just Like Sky” using pen name Inoue Miu which the novel is favoured by Touko the most.

He is junior of Touko but he fell in love with Touko in the end of the story.

Before, he likes Miu but when Miu stands on her own, he decide to go to Touko.

My Thoughts

The story is beautiful and thoughtful just like the title.

It is crafted carefully with element that makes you have a feeling for the story.

Well, unless you are not this type of people you won’t feel anything then.

Touko is very innocent and straight forward and never filled with hate or any negative element.

That’s make her a very reliable sempai and of course my dream girl criteria.

While Miu is actually filled with very innocent and pure goal, that is to make other people around her happy because of her.

But she was trapped in a situation where her own real life is very miserable and never thought that her dream to make other people happy because of her.

I never hate Miu by the way.

She needs more love and she need to be awaken from all her negative thought!

That’s all.

The ending of the stories is quite… make me feel excited.
