Is it me or this chapter is surprisingly short? Lol..nevermind that. Nevertheless, it was an awesome chapter. So just as I expected, they somehow managed to escape from the volcanic eruption and arriving Fishman Island at the same time. Hell, it’s about time! I’ve been waiting for ages for it and it’s great the Oda didn’t plan to drag any further. Seems like Captain Van der dekken is no where to be seen after the eruption. I bet he’ll play a role in this arc because it’s still a mystery as to who he is.

Wow, Kraken sure is the man of the chapter this week; he was so amazing. Even without being told to carry the ship, he acted on his own and saved the Straw Hats which is awesome! Let’s not forget that Usopp saved the crew with his Green Star Midoriboshi – awesome as well, thumbs up for him. It’s about time that he does something amazing ever since that time when he saved Nami from the fake Straw Hats. Sanji is funny as usual, “Instead of living a long life without my dream come true…I’d rather die while giving perverted looks at mermaids!” – an epic quote from Sanji in this chapter.

Fishman Island! FINALLY

I didn’t expect Fishman Island to look like this. And what’s up with those two big bubbles? I’d expect Fishman Island to be an underwater Atlantic city with happy Fishmen and Mermaids. And I thought as soon as the Straw Hats arrive, Jimbei would be at the entrance waiting for them. Looks like we won’t be seeing Jimbei anytime soon. More importantly, I hope Oda prepared an exciting plot for this arc.

I was about to say this last week but hesitated. Personally, I think that the universe of One Piece has a ludicrously long food chain; there was no end to their size. And believe me, I’m sure there are other monsters out there far more larger and stronger than these sea monsters. It’s amazing how Oda was able to come up with such an incredible imagination. Even the Kraken was startled by sea monsters.

Seems like we have trouble here!

Oh my..what’s the meaning of this? This guy has Arlong’s mark on his lower neck! This may hint that Arlong might be in Fishman Island. On top of that, they called themselves the new fishman pirates. Which might be telling us that they’re the fishman from the New World. Now this is interesting. I hope some chaos is happening on Fishman Island now!

The Straw Hats were forced to run away as they can’t fight underwater made me think about their future fights. I certainly hope that being in underwater doesn’t restriction from going all out. Because that would be an disadvantage to the Straw Hats. Considering now that we’ve seen that there’s two big bubbles, I assume that they’ll be able to fight freely inside. Also, all the hardship they’ve been through to get to Fishman Island had me thinking. How did the lower tier Supernovas like Scratchmen Apoo, Capone Bege and Urouge managed to get through all that? I’m certain that they’re not strong enough to go through that. In addition, if it weren’t for the Coup de burst, the Straw Hats would have died as well. Not to mention that even Brownbeard made it to the New World.

Predictions

As stated above, that guy seem to have Arlong’s mark on his lower neck. Now this is just a wild guess ; I think that Arlong has gone stronger over the past two years and has been gathering strong pirates in the New World. With the downfall of the Whitebeard Pirates, the Arlong Pirates might have dominated the Fishman Island. Not that I want to see a second round of Luffy vs Arlong. I’d prefer if Fishman Island is in a chaos condition with several forces trying to take over Fishman Island. Now that would be interesting!

Finally, this chapter ended with Luffy saying “No waaayyy!! , Morons!!” – epic. That would certainly provoke them. Stay tuned for next week’s chapter.
