Posted: 02 Feb 2011 08:02 PM PST Man it’s great to be back. Been out for two weeks without internet that’s why these two reviews were rather late. But.. oh well……
My thoughts on Episode 3I’m amazed by the fact that this episode was wrapped up pretty well and we can finally see the whole picture of this ghostship mystery as i, for one, think that this whole idea of “hares and hunting dog” relating with the world war was blended nicely. Not to mention that this episode was surprisingly not predictable and it honestly surprised me when the whole picture of this mystery was revealed. Nice job my sweet Victorique~ And looks like i was right afterall – Ned IS the hunting dog. While Julie was actually been revenging all along and i’m glad that her motives and her past with the ship were explained and pointed out very clearly. But what surprised me the most on this episode was the fact that Kujou was able to put up a good fight with Ned which is great as in the near future, he will be doing all the physical tasks while Victorique will be doing all the mystery solving. But if Kujou was stronger, it would be kinda like Suzaku (justice shit and stuff) and Lelouch pairing which is great. But no will of “live on” please . Speaking of Victorique, she was really adorable and i loved it whenever she interacts with Kujou, especially near the end of this episode. But most importantly, her background was revealed sooner than i thought. And it seems that she is the daughter of the 2nd wife of the Blois family with an unknown reason as to why her mother was portrayed as a dangerous individual to the government. Which then leads to the bitter fact that she lived in a cell poor Victorique ; screw Duke and Blois family for treating her like that! Screenshots for Episode 3My thoughts on Episode 4As expected from a new arc, everything still seems to be in pieces which leaves me very excited for the next episode. Though in the beginning, it was rather random with Kujou accused for a crime but was solved very easily. Not to mention everything about it was obvious and there was actually no reason for them to consult Victorique for such an easy mystery. Also, it was obvious that Avril is the murderer with her injured right hand but how did she escape? I thought the culprit was captured? Fortunately, i was fooled by this stupid mystery and there was actually related with another more complicated mystery. So it was really surprising that the motorcycle incident actually played a role in this arc and i really like the way they’re tying it up together with the whole mystery regarding Millie Marl and Maxim. On top of that, although Victorique solved the past mystery of Millie Marl and Maxim pretty well, how will it relate with the present mystery? Aside from that, it seems that Victorique is somehow related with this “gray wolf” which really intrigued me. Not to mention the reason why Kujou was named as the “black reaper” was rather interesting as well. And i think i’ve started to hate Grevil for the way he didn’t talk to my adorable Victorique directly and taking all the credit for the mysteries solved. It was funny at first but after knowing Victorique’s past, followed by him doing that – it’s kinda rude, in a way. All in all, it was a very exciting episode with bits of pieces shown to us before they show us the larger picture of this mystery. And let’s not forget that Victorique was as cute as usual this episode So yeah, looks like it’s gonna be an exciting arc this time. So what’s the motive of Millie Marl for doing all that? What about the flower? And the relationship between them? Hopefully this arc’s mystery will be harder to crack, afterall, i’m really hyped up for what’s to come. So don’t let me down~ Victorique~ Screenshots for Episode 4 |
