Infinite Stratos episode 5 review

Chapter: Boy meets Boy

Summary

At the beginning scene, its just a recap of the last fight where the unmanned drones fight with Ichika and the other. Ichika visit his friend house at Gotanda Eatery restaurant and playing games. Ichika took his launch there. Back to his dorm, he got the news from Yamada sensei that Shinono Houki will be transfer into another room. Houki accept it and go out immediately. After a while, Houki go back to the room and tell to Ichika that if she win in the Grade Level Individual Tournament next month, Ichika will date her!!! Heard by the another three student who happen to be nears by, they spread the news about it and it didn’t go as they plan. The next morning, another transfer student has come to join the the class and also Ichika’s new roommate. He is Charles Dunoa and he is a guy… After the introduction in the class, the outdoor class starts right away. They went to the changing room and having a nice chat there. Charles is a president’s son of the famous company. Orimura sensei call Alcott Cecilia and Fan Rinin to have an exercise combat. Their opponent is Yamada sensei. Yamada sensei swap them and defeated them easily. After that all student having a group study leads by the owner of personal IS in their class(Ichika, Cecilia, Rin, and Charles). During the lunch break, Ichika, Houki, Charles, Rin and Cecilia having lunch at the rooftop. Back to the dorm, Ichika having a nice chat again with Charles. In the next day, another new transfer student comes to join the party. She is Laura Bodewig. In that entrance, Laura slap Ichika’s face and she has her own reason. After that, to be continue…

Personal Impression

This episode is even more interesting, not to mention the fan-service. Boy meets boy. Hmmm… Fascinating topic. Well for some reason I didn’t agree 100% with the title. Actually Boys meets Girl and it happen all the time in this anime. It only happen when Ichika having a visit to his friend house during the break. For some reason almost all the girls in this anime likes Ichika very much. Otoko no Romansu. For the first one, his friend’s sister have a crush on him. Her name was Ran and also she is also not bad looking with the red hair. She change her attitude to be more polite and modest when Ichika is around. For the second one is Yamada sensei. Yamada sensei has talk about something like becoming Chifuyu’s sister in law while in blushing state. For the third scene is all the girl in the academy really one to date Ichika. Well, hows that!!! Ichika is sure was a lucky guy. But Ichika is really dense when it comes to love or romance. Well, Ichika is really Thick Headed, Houki makes a confession this time and what Ichika reaction?Not even a blush… He sure has no feeling for girls. When Charles compliment Ichika, somehow he is blushing!!! OMG, is he goes for man??? Anyway, Houki gets her turn and having a nice day. Ichika carried her like the legendary princess carried situation. She also having the japanese “ahn~” food feeding situation by Ichika for her. She is having a happiest moment of her life. Houki comes for the confession during the night time as she ask Ichika to date her when she win the tournament. Houki also a great cook. Ichika compliment her food and said that he likes it. For Cecilia Alcott, nothing much to say accept she is terrible at cooking. Ichika’s face turns dark when he eats her home made sandwich. Fan Rinin also not much. Rin and Cecilia easily get jealous when Ichika always with Houki this time. Everyone gets their turn… The transfer student, Charles Dunoa is a guy, or is it. I have my doubt about him. I think he is actually a she. For the first one, look at her face. Look so feminine and so girl looking. the second thing is when Ichika changing, he look away for a moment. This is a normal reaction for girls…In the anime though. And he blush when Ichika grab his hand. His voice is also sounds like girl although the way his speak is boy like.What else that prove that he isn’t a she? For spoiler, check myanimelist.net for more info… Next is, New transfer student again!!!I think the suitable title for this episode is Transfer Student 2x. because of two transfer student in two days… Well this anime have a lot of transfer student!!!What about their senior? Not yet perhaps…Anyway, the next transfer student appears. She is Laura Bodewig. Somehow she is related to Chifuyu and she really hates Ichika. She slap Ichika on the face during the first day of the transfer. Wow, she sure hold grudge for him… For the fight scene, It’s Yamada sensei turn. Yamada-sensei is an amazing pilot. Even when Rin and Cecilia fight together also can’t beat her. Not even 10 minutes, both of them are sent down to the earth. Well thats all for my review.
