Mawaru Penguindrum Ep. 15

Mawaru Penguindrum Ep. 15

Mawaru Penguindrum Ep. 15

Luckily there wasn’t any diversion from what happened last week so we get to know what is the fate that lies await for Ringo. Unsurprisingly, Shoma came to save the day. Well, sort of. Even if he didn’t come, Ringo will be safe anyway. I can’t believe the idiot actually fell flat on his face and lost consciousness in such a critical situation!

Now, I really want to know how Ringo was able to leave a message to Shoma. And it’s a really lovely message, by the way – “Shoma, I’m going to get all messed up. It’s all your fault!”. Looking at the message, it only means that Ringo was aware of her unfavorable position. When Shoma called, she was already all tied up. Plus, her tone sounded different too…so how did she send that message? And how the hell she answered her phone? Pressing it with her face or Yuri actually helped? I’m really curious.

This episode focused on Yuri’s past, her being the victim of abuse. Her father is a scary old man. Everytime I look at the chisel, a shiver ran down my spine. I can only imagine the worst of what he did on Yuri with those crafting tools. During this time, however, she met the famous Momoka, who gave her unconditional love and support. That was so sweet. Also, Yuri seriously kick ass when she had that unusual battle with Natsume. She was able to fight on par with Natsume when she wasn’t even wearing any special goggles to see through the darkness! Does she have anything else that we should know?

For the first time, we finally get to see a living Momoka. She has pink hair, like the girl Sanetoshi was with in episode 13. The one who shared the same kind of eyes. Anyway, Momoka seems like a very nice girl. She explained the use of Fate diary, which shed some light about the number one choice as the possible penguin drum everyone is chasing after. All these are pretty good stuff. For once, instead of throwing puzzles Penguindrum provided some answers. What I would like to see now is more of backstory about Tabuki.

This episode also saw the introduction of a new OP song. I like how they now move Emeralda just right next to No.1, making them look like a couple! So cute. Oh before I forget, does anyone of you think Himari may meet up with the idols? They seem to miss her much and vice versa. It’ll be good to see Himari out of the hospital and doing something fun for a change.

I think this is all for this episode. Will be eagerly waiting to see what’s going to happen next.
