Ane Doki : Panty shot, Ice-cream and My Ideal Onee-chan

Our Manga Precinct has apparently on hiatus – 5 months without an update to be exact. The last time I remember, this category was created for me to write a weekly Fairy Tail and One Piece chapter review. I’m pretty sure most of the recent readers/commentors wouldn’t know about this coz this happened long before you know this site. However, my reason of writing for this section today is totally unrelated to reviving it. Instead, this post is dedicated to my beloved Onee-chan, Natsuki Hagiwara.

Just so you know, the mangaka for Ane Doki is the same person who did Hatsukoi Limited and Ichigo 100% -i’m pretty sure most of you here have read/heard of this manga before. So yeah, I first came across this manga months ago, in a local bookstore where I saw this poster on the wall beside a book rack. And I thoght ” Hey, isn’t she Aya Toujo from Ichigo 100%?” ” And who’s that brat down there? He looks like a younger Junpei Manaka (from the same series)” I’ve then searched around the net and found out that Ane Doki is a new romance manga series done by Mizuki Kawashita.

I’ll try not to go into too much detail about what happened in the manga just so you can find out all the interesting bits yourself when you read it. Ane Doki is a love comedy manga series between a sexy, beautiful and mature looking high school girl – Natsuki Hagiwara and a loser middle school brat – Kouta Ochiai. Natsuki Onee-chan is a mysterious girl that Kouta just so happen to met down the road. Having stunned by her beauty and even shared the same ice-cream with her, she decided that she should return the favor by staying over his house as a maid, helping him with all the chores while his father goes for an outstation for months. What an ideal life for our little protagonist there. Though most of the time, he showed less appreciation to the “coincidence” happened.

Thus, during the course of the series, Natusuki would offer help to Kouta whenever he faces a problem which in turn, raises his self esteem as he slowly notice that he’s actually not as useless as he think. As a boy at an age of puberty, sometimes his imaginations went wild during his daily lives of living with such a beautiful Onee-chan which was rather comical at times. And the “coincidence” I mentioned earlier is just a card that Mizuki Kawashita tends to use for ecchi purposes. Heck, there was also a lot of these moments when I watched Ichigo 100% back then. This style of hers is easily noticeable as our horny little protagonist is also surrounded by some pretty girls in this series. But in all honesty, I couldn’t tolerate what happened on Ichigo 100% so I dropped it as I was never a huge harem ecchi fan to begin with. Especially if the male lead is being very indecisive. Overall, I think this is a very heartwarming, although short manga series. With a very well-done characterization and beautiful art, it easily became one of the good romance manga series i’ve read out there.

No, unfortunately not. More like the guy version of K-on.

This young novelist is actually a young guy, very young actually to be able to write anything about sex. Well, it’s a stereo type but that’s what this anime want to point it out that younger person can actually achieve professionalism and please don’t look down on them!

The protagonist in this anime is a genius guy who wrote an adult novel and he was having a hard time in his former school where all the girls are looking at him negatively and he can’t have a peaceful time there where all the other student will give him a psychological attack to him.

So there was one school where all genius gather and no one will look down on anyone since everyone are genius. The protagonist of the series enrolls into this school and since then everything went to normal just like he want it to be.
