Mysterious Girlfriend X

Mysterious Girlfriend X !!! I been following this Manga for a quiet a while now. From the picture above, some may get the impression that this Manga is a full fledged Hentai type of genre, but no. Not even close, yes, there is border line ecchiness, but it’s no more than a high school boy and girl trying to form a love relationship.

The author and artist is Riichi Ueshiba. Basically the plot: A mysterious transfer girl happens to drool on her desk one day, for some weird reason Akira Tsubaki decides to taste it. Little did he know that the saliva would become an addiction and soon he would be going out with Urabe Mikoto. A girl who he knows absolutely nothing about, yet seems to be destined for.

The reason this Manga attracted me was because its odd universe; how drool means so much that it can shape the love of a relationship. A true bond can form if the saliva is compatible with one another. The above image shows the couple’s daily routine of Tsubaki’s dose of Urabe’s saliva. Weird, but in a way its really interesting.

When at times Tsubaki gets out of hand and has trouble controlling his male behavior towards Urabe, she keeps a pair of scissors in her panties to keep him in check. Tsubaki calls it the “panty scissor attack.” The idea of a girl keeping a pair of scissors tuck away in her panties is just one of those things that you can smile at.

Urabe’s personality really stands out, from the outside she sleeps in class and is a bit of an outcast except for a friend or two. But, she really is a big tsundere! Urabe can be mean to Tsubaki or very nice/cute to him. As this unique relationship continues to evolve into something bigger, Mysterious Girlfriend X is going to stay in my Manga reading list. The article below is my current review of chapter 57, enjoy! . .

MGX 57 is out! Or, it’s been out for a while.. I also know that chapter 58 is out as well, but since it’s a multiple part series, I’m going to wait so I can a do a full review of the story. MGX is close the chapter 60, and so far it seems that this series is headed for a long one. It’s fine by me, I’m not complaining about it, more MGX means more Urabe.

Summary: The image above sums up the whole plot of the chapter, when is Urabe going to switch to her summer uniform. And pretty much shows the impact of her answer on Tsubaki! A situation arise when Ueno pops in and forces Tsubaki to tag along with him to do some shopping. Tsubaki and Urabe’s relationship is a secret from the entire school, so she disappears. It gets interesting when he leaves with his girlfriend uniform by accident.

In typical MGX fashion, Tsubaki curiosity always leads him to trouble. He takes out Urabe’s clean uniform to take a closer look at it. From the images, some may say; “he taking more than just a look!” And, accidents happen to thicken the plot of the story. The uniform that Urabe was going to wear is out of commission due to some spilled fruit juice.

Tsubaki tries to correct his accidental woes and borrow his sister’s (Youko) old high school uniform for a short-term solution for Urabe. It fits perfectly!! During their normal routine, something goes terribly wrong for Tsubaki. During the saliva exchange, somehow he imagines that Urabe is his sister and that really freaks him out!

Thinking ahead, if Urabe continues to wear his sisters uniform, it’s going to keep occurring the fact of his sister’s presence during their routine or even if they even kiss in the summer. At the end, it’s left to the fact that the uniform was cleaned. Tsubaki can finally come back to reality of trying to score with his girlfriend Urabe!

What Mr. Mask Thinks: It’s only natural to see your girlfriend in certain types of uniform, or the fact someone from the opposite sex to wear a uniform. Something about uniforms brings out certain attraction towards someone persona. As for the sister part of the plot, well… that goes to something I’m not into; true blood incest. I don’t mind the whole adopted family incest, at least their not from the same parents.. So, that’s okay. I’ll wait for the story line to be over so I can write another entry. Panty Scissors!

This time a new character introduced and right away pawned Kinjirou because of her love towards Subaru-sama…

Review

Well, for starter, a new girl called Masamune Usami, has crashed her motorcycle to Kinjirou. Kinjirou straight away getting beat up by a girl who just accidentally found in his way going to school. Tough luck eh. Usami is a twin-tail girl with purple hair with a cute personality(towards Subaru) and rough(towards Kinjirou). It looks like she has been shunned by her classmate. I don’t know what happen to her, but is she really bad at making friend? But do this mean Kinjirou get a new harem girl?

Kinjirou is a lucky man. In the nurse office, Subaru take care of him until he awakes. Subaru makes a promise with Kinjirou to take her around during the school festival. Going along with the conversation between Subaru and Kinjirou, Kinjirou has mention about first kiss. With that, Subaru startled and in alert mode which is kinda cute. Well, it isn’t stop there, Subaru trying to kiss Kinjirou despite there has been a bit misunderstanding for both side.

With nice timing, Kanade interrupt the one of the amazing scene and start to control the situation again. Kanade likes to be on top of Kinjirou, what the… What a lucky man! Again and again, Kanade never get tired doing it and Kinjirou, hmm, as usual chickening out. Good thing he is a good guy though. Well even if he is a bad guy who will attack Kanade, there’s always Subaru on her side though. She will kill them for sure.

Later, Usami invite Kinjirou to the roof and had a little chat. Usami ordered Kinjirou to become her boyfriend, and of course Kinjirou refuse. But nothing can be done by Kinjirou, Usami blackmailed Kinjirou so that her plan continue. Usami shows her cute side when Subaru is around because Subaru likes Subaru. She even in the big group that support Subaru in the dark called S4(Shooting Star Subaru Sama). Her love towards Subaru is magnificent. With that, Kinjirou has to cancelled Subaru offers to walk around with her and he will accompany Usami during the school festival. With that, a punch has been delivered at Kinjirou’s stomach by Subaru. Cool! Thats what you get if you broke the important promise especially with girl. The punch looks so epic, really funny…

After the school end, Kinjirou went for shopping with her new girlfriend. Things going so fast these days. Usami and Kinjirou went to a lingerie shop because she want to find a swimsuit for her class doing in the school festival. Luckily Kinjirou when there too. He gets to see Usami in her swimsuits(what a luck). She is so cute in that swimsuit. When Kinjirou praised her swimsuit, Usami blushed. Do this mean she fell for him a little bit? Kinjirou even gets a chance to see her naked. What the hell! Gosh, kids these days work so fast.

After shopping, they gets to know each other. They even gets their name to be called by their first name which means they’ve been a very close person in their lives. Well, all of it works surprising fine, the relation getting better and they live happily ever after. Medetashi medetashi…

I’m really enjoy this show mainly because of Usami. She is a nice character. Moving on, next episode there’s a high chance that the nekomimi girl will make her appearance too. Well, stay tune!
