Nico Nico says hello to the English audience.  I found this article, and felt it needed to be released, done!

On July 1st through the 4th, NicoNico.com opened a booth with a live broadcast each of those days at the Anime Expo in Los Angeles, U.S.  They interviewed Cosplayers and people who visited their booth.  During the interview, they asked if they can sing or dance, or a request from viewers that participated in the live event.

What is Nico Nico?  Basically it's an affiliated Nico Nico Douga, a popular Japan video sharing website.  Users can upload, view and share video clips.  During live events, users can make comments, which are overlaid directly onto the video.  This enhances the experience between viewers and participants of the actually live events.  Thus Nico Nico is for the non Japanese-speaking individuals.

The whole experience was quite unique in a way a common interested can bring so many together.  Cosplayers got to share their passion a front thousands of viewers from across the globe.  The interviewers were bilingual with English and Japanese, so the translations were really entertaining.  Most of the people that comment are anonymous; the tone can go either way between vulgar, funny and really anything that anyone can think of.

Here is candid photo of Kurosaki Maon, which another future article will be devoted only to her.  But, she showed her support for Nico Nico.

As for anime fans, Nico Nico has a treat for people that support this genre.   Here's a chance to actually watch anime series that are just released.  Here's their press release:
