Although once again there are not too much news in this week’s post, this time the information is incredibly juicy. With a lot of news on Steins;Gate games and incredibly announcement of Saki Season along with a lot of aesthetic appreciation whether it be music videos or art, do take your time to browse through and enjoy all the otaku news!

Anime

Something that I personally have been anticipating since the beginning of time is the announcement of Saki Season 2! Ever since having finished the previous season with such an excruciatingly tempting ending with a show of the various user abilities in the nationals, we can finally grip our seats in excitement for this coming 2nd season!

Free in Akihabara at around the 25th of every month is ASCII Weekly’s free paper where this time, a lot of summer season anime has been covered, such as Kiss Dum: Engage Planet, a coming film Fullmetal Alchemist: Milos no Seinaru HoshiThe Idolm@ster and various other series.

Games

A wonderful Fan Disk has been released for the XBox Version of Steins;Gate where more focus has been put on the excellently designed heroines of the visual novel. It has been named Hiyoku Renri no Darling and was released on June the 16th. More coverage over at famitsu!

Golden Fantasia X has some coverage on a new character called Eva Beatrice who is voiced by Miki Ito. Although I’ve never heard of the game it seems immensely similar to BlazBlue although with more detailed art and animation and an overall weaker fanbase. The videos at the source are simply a display of her different specials.

A new booster pack will be released on the 27th of August for Weiss Schwarz‘ series Idolm@ster 2 where coverage on the article itself can be found here. While, information on each card and a preview of their abilities can be found here.

An exciting new release for Steins;Gate has been announced on the iOS platform where the visual novel has been seemingly ported over, being one of the only better visual novels available on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch!

Artwork

Have you ever played the new White Album on the XBox 360? Or at least grabbed the wonderful figure of Ogata Rina? Amongst various other characters drawn from series such as Madoka Magica or MM, Nao Shirahane has released a beautiful artbook and various other works that can be drooled at over here.

Quite a cute release to commemorate the success of Monster Hunter Portable 3rd and Monhun Nikki Poka Poka Ailu Mura G comes an artbook called theMonster Hunter Portable 3rd Official Comic Anthology Volume. 2 where each character of the game is gone through in detail and the pricing is about 840¥, which indeed is, not bad.

Music

MMD PV’s have been getting more and more impressive over the years including the beginning of experimenting with the Kinect and MMD up to the point where Producers are actually producing high quality 3D music videos to go with their music while compositing all of this in After Effects or similar software. Here is an example of a recently released MV by Tsutsumine Akira which was pretty impressive!

Figures

Some quick announcement of last month’s nendoroid releases on Nendonesia. Only two have been covered, namely, Lynette Bishop from Strike Witches and Airi from Queen’s Blade.
