Quite Sentimental ~ Natsume Yuujinchou San Episode 1 Posted: 07 Jul 2011 09:01 PM PDT I never heard of this title before but I don’t know why the keyword “spirit” in the synopsis is kinda appealing to me so I give it a try even though this is already the 3rd season of this anime series. Reduced Moe-ness of Ottome Youkai ZakuroOkay, it make sense that this series is older than Ottome Youkai Zakuro a series also about spiritual beings. But that series have more good and better graphics and characterization than this one. A Little Bit About This Anime SeriesThe story is about a boy, Natsume who posses a book called Book of Friends which sealed the name of spiritual being who have been defeated by Natsume’s grandmother. The book is kind of like a contract that shows that the spirit must obey the people who posses the book. This make Natsume being chased by the spirits who wants their name back and gain their freedom and other spirit who want to take control of the spirits whose name written on that book. Light StorylineI can sense a light storyline in here. There’s not much conflict or anything that we can argue. Overall I am okay with the story. But perhaps if I got bored with this I will just drop the whole series without so much regretting of doing so.
The Characterisation Is ClassicIt’s like I am watching a retro anime well I can accept it but I know someone who will never accept this level of characterisation anymore. He’s one of our authors here. You know who you are.
Quite Sentimental & Strong Moral Story?I don’t know, but I think the story is quite sentimental. Friendship, dying, and sacrificing one-self for others… I kinda like that genre but let’s see if this series is really like that. Anyone Following This Series? So have everyone watch the 1st and 2nd season already? I will not watch them and just finish this one if I like the series, or it seems it’s just me who pick this series in my watching list? |
